With an industry career spanning 38 years, Arnold’s passion for the fruit industry began with his father’s influence, and he now loves to find a happy medium between the producer and the buyer. When he’s not at work, you could catch him on the radio as one of his hobbies is amateur radio.
Growing up in the family fresh produce business, Jandre has had a great start to his career in the fruit division of the market. He finds joy in all the challenges that the day brings and when he is not on duty, you’ll find him enjoying a rugby game or fishing.
Tony’s passion for the industry has led him far and wide in his travels to secure great producers and suppliers in his fruit division at the market. He also enjoys gardening, collecting cycads and some fishing.
Industry veteran Viren Maharaj who works in the fruit division on Port Natal Market says his love of working with people and for people is what drives his passion for this busy and vibrant industry. And when he’s not on duty at the market, he’s spending time with his family or enjoying a spot of fishing.
Working in the fruit section, Blessing has worked his way up in the industry – from selling fruit in his school days to working as a labourer and now a sales person. He loves to serve the customer and also try and get the best price for the supplier. This married father of two enjoys attending church with his family, and catching a game of soccer on the telly.
